Welcome to CureCFracing.com This site is designed to keep you informed of everything we are doing and why. Our primary goal for this race team is to help raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis. My sister, Barbara Wilson-McGhee, was born with Cystic Fibrosis in 1966 and survived a double lung transplant in July of 2000. She died of a blood infection from her surgery in November of that same year. She is dearly missed. Her favorite quote was “It is better to shine than reflect” . . . You will always shine in my eyes Barb! Having lived with Cystic Fibrosis my whole life I am amazed at how little awareness there is for this disease. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States. Our hope is that through raising awareness we can help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation raise the money required to help find a cure for this horrible disease. Through site visits with Cystic patients we will try to bring some fun and joy into their lives. The kids with Cystic will be able to get on our email list and follow our progress during the season, knowing that we are trying to bring a cure to their lives. Along with this very noble cause we also want to have a lot of fun in the process!!! My sister would have wanted it that way. We will return great value to our marketing partners, who make this venture possible, both on and off the track. Please peruse the site and let us know if you have any questions. We appreciate your time and look forward to meeting you at the races!
